Rev. Anthony Yorke has been involved in ministry for 27 years. Born and raised on the island of Dominica, West Indies, he was exposed to Christianity and Christian ministry from his childhood. At the age of 24 he dedicated his life to Christ and has been serving God faithfully since.
Rev. Yorkes passion for church growth has ushered him into several areas of church work. He has functioned as an itinerant preacher, visiting many churches including Dominica, Jamaica, Guadeloupe, Barbados, New York and Florida. He has assisted in planting several churches which are still thriving today.
He is a certified Evangelism Explosion (E.E) teacher trainer, and has had the opportunity to utilize E.E. to edify the body of Christ on numerous occasions. Rev. Yorke served as a missionary to Dominica, through Ministries in Action, Inc., for six years, where he taught pastors and church leaders effective church growth strategies. While in Dominica, he held position as the Director of Missions, for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, Dominica District.
Shortly after his return to the United States in 1998, Rev. Yorke and his family joined the West Lauderdale Baptist Church, and remained there for four years. It was during that time that Rev. Yorke was officially ordained into ministry. He became involved in leadership and administrative roles at West Lauderdale Baptist Church, and functioned as an associate pastor for the duration of his time there.
In 2001, Rev. Yorke decided to follow the leading of the Lord to plant his own ministry. Harvest Preparation Ministries, Inc, now almost two years old was placed on Rev. Yorkes heart many years ago. He continues, along with his wife, Andrea and family to build Harvest Preparation Ministries, inc. and reach the North Lauderdale Community.
